40 Lenten Journey: The Power of The BlooD of Jesus
Beloved Friends, We are embarking on the sacred journey of Lent, a season of reflection and preparation. We invite you to join the spiritual immersion with daily Reading, Prayer, Fasting, and Reflection Rituals. Everyday, we encourage you to read the passage, recite prayers, and we encourage you to pause, ponder, and journal how it resonates with your life and faith.
This year's Lent will emphasize on the community's spiritual growth, and we invite you to immerge in this spiritual journey with your family and friends to encounter the healing and restoration that God has planned for you. Let's support and uplift one another to seek God within this 40 days journey to receive spiritual renewal and transformation.
Our Lenten journey should include Prayer, Fasting, and Almsgiving. Like how Jesus enter into the desert for 40 days to overcome temptations. We must seek to imitate Him and go into our own desert to Pray and Fast so we can receive God's Blessings so that we may Give and Share God's Blessings. We should rely on God and our Guardian Angel to avoid temptations and seek to hear God's Voice and to know God's Will for our life.
Prayer: The faithfulness in prayer is worship directed to God. God calls us into His Presence, and we respond by coming before Him in Faith. This 40-day Lenten Journey will not be fruitful without prayer. Prayer is not just about talking and telling God what we want, but it is also about listening to Hear from God what He wants for our life. We must do the same. Let's pray for God's Will to be done in our life and to also pray for our family, friends, and even our enemy to receive God's Love and Grace during this 40 days.
Fasting: We cannot hear God's Voice or to see God's Presence in our life with the noise and the distractions of the world. Let's aim to abstain from eating, drinking alcohol, watching TV shows, doom scrolling through social media, etc. Abstaining from meat on Friday is an obligation for Christians to do this lent. The greatest sacrifice you can aim to fast from this lent is truly the sin that pull you away from receiving God's Love and Peace. Please fast according to your medical needs!
Almsgiving: Prayer and Fasting are not enough in this journey without the work of charity in almsgiving. When we give, we shall receive and what God desires for you to receive the most during this lent is His Love and Grace for you. This year, we dedicate our almsgiving as a parish to a spiritual project: REBUILD MY CHURCH. A portion will be directed to the poor neighbors and the rest will be replacing our TABERNACLE. Preserving the Blessed Sacrament is the greatest thing that God has entrusted to our care.
