ALL SOULS' DAY: A DAY OF PRAYER, REMEMBRANCE AND HOPE.All Souls' Day, observed on November 2nd, is a day dedicated to the memory of all the faithful departed. It is a time for the Church to come together in prayer, offering our love and intercession for those who have passed from this life and are undergoing purification in purgatory. This solemn day reflects the profound bond between the living and the dead, a connection rooted in our shared faith in Christ and the hope of eternal life.
All Souls' Day, we remember our loved ones who have gone before us, recognizing that death does not sever our relationship with them. Through our prayers, especially the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, we assist the souls in purgatory, helping to speed their journey toward the fullness of joy in heaven. This act of charity is a powerful expression of our belief in the Communion of Saints, where the Church on earth joins with the Church in purgatory and the Church in heaven in a continuous exchange of prayer and grace.
